“Trinity? Did you hear me?”
Silence. At this point, he walks over to the front of the couch and she knows the moment he sees her face because he freezes. She can feel the tear-tracks drying on her cheeks, but can’t muster the effort it would take to wipe them away—she doesn’t even have the energy to keep crying.
“Trin?” his voice cracks and he looks scared, and she realizes in that moment how much she doesn’t like him being scared.
She blinks at him, slow, faltering.
When the words leave her, they’re hollow and raspy and spoken with none of the emotion that’s been roiling around in her chest, “My brother’s dead.”
————Six months after her first shift at PTMC, Trinity Santos gets a call informing her that her younger brother and his wife were killed in a car accident, leaving behind their five-month-old daughter Bea with Trinity as her new guardian. Featuring lots of platonic Whitsantos, eventual Barantos, a cute baby, complex feelings and relationships, loss and love, all that good stuff.

Summary
After nine tough hours at the Pitt, Trinity faces a crisis that scent patches just can't cover up. Months of taking too much medication to control her heats have led to a huge super-heat. If she can't find an alpha to help break the fever, she'll end up stuck in a hospital bed for a month and will have to repeat her R2. She needs a fix, and she needs it now, no matter how stupid it might be.
