Alternate Title: Five Times Zuko and Azula Protected Each Other From Their Parents, and One Time Others Protected Them

This is similar to canon, except Zuko and Azula treat each other like siblings. It's kind of a character study of what they would be like if it was them against the world, with assistance from Iroh and Lu Ten, as much as they are able. Most of this takes place before Zuko's Agni Kai, but one part is during and one part is after. I hope you enjoy!

Summary
Set after the Boiling Rock, Sokka just wants to help Zuko however he can. This leads to a small argument with Katara, where Zuko tries to protect Sokka and Katara from Hakoda (Hakoda wasn't going to hurt them, but how would Zuko know that having had Ozai as his father). Sokka listens to Zuko explain his childhood, having made several guesses about how bad it was after seeing how Zuko reacted to Hakoda. Hurt/Comfort.

Ilya is frozen for a second, eyes flicking down to the pillow. David is offering. And his body still feels so heavy to hold up. He moves slowly, like he’s afraid something is going to jump out at him (which is kind of embarrassing), until he comes to rest on his side, his head against the soft pillow.
Without looking away from his book, David reaches over to pull Ilya’s blanket - which had traveled with him - up to rest just under his chin. He leaves his arm over Ilya, resting on his back. Holding him.
Ilya sniffles.
