Summary
Dean’s not a fan of the lead singer of the new up-and-coming band Fallen. He really isn’t. But they’re playing a gig nearby, and Dean has the night off, and as a lover of everything rock he thinks he should at least see what all the fuzz is about. After a night that doesn’t go as planned for anybody involved, Dean’s convinced that Castiel is nothing more than the annoying, trite cliché of a rockstar he has branded himself as. So why would Dean care if he sleeps with his fans? Sure, he’s attractive, and admittedly talented, but Dean told you. He’s not a fan.

Summary
The year is 1889 and for the past year and a half, Dean has traveled alone from town to town, drinking to ignore his guilt and gambling to make a living. Today, he’s especially down on his luck. He’s broke, was just thrown out of a saloon for cheating at poker, and has now been woken by a blue-eyed man trying to rob him. When he learns that the thief, Castiel, is just as broke as he is, they strike a tenuous deal to help each other rob a stagecoach, share the spoils, and split up. Turns out splitting up is the most difficult task.
While Castiel is cold and cruel, Dean refuses to back down from a fight. The two are at odds more often than not, but their relationship only grows more complicated the longer they travel together. They may have more in common than they thought.

So they live together and it’s the only together they have right now, doomed to orbit each other, sometimes collide, but not in any pleasant way (like before), and then be pushed apart again. It’s tricky and full of sharp edges but the alternative is worse. Maybe, Dean tries not to think about it.
