Summary
Kim Dokja wakes up the morning of his 30th birthday having finally managed to forget it was, in fact, his birthday. It’s the work of several weeks of existentialism supplemented with targeted alcoholism. In the end, it had succeeded, and the fact that it is February 15th now means about as much to him as it does any other day in the year.
It is not, however, just like any other day of the year; as Dokja soon discovers when a casual touch from Yu Junghyeok, a coworker he’s known since childhood, reveals that Kim Dokja has suddenly gained the ability to read the minds of others. All with just one touch.
And there’s another thing. Just another small unimportant detail.
Yu Junghyeok is thinking about him. A lot.

FUCK! Shen Qingqiu still couldn’t move but his mouth had mostly free reign. He bit his tongue hard enough to draw blood to stop the Qingqiu from coming out.
What the fuck. How was it that he almost confessed to his identity as Luo Binghe’s deceased scum shizun right in his face?!
or: the mushroom body's DNA is accidentally spliced with a wife-plot plant. Shen Qingqiu has to deal with this and try to survive being Luo Binghe's guest at Huan Hua Palace.

What wasn't wrong? Binghe was out of the Abyss two years too early, and the plant bodies weren't ready, and Binghe had never been an omega in PIDW—which meant that whatever revenge scheme he had cooked up was so far outside of the original plot that there was no way for Shen Qingqiu to plan for it.
And then there was the fact that, despite everything, Shen Qingqiu couldn't stop noticing how good Binghe smelled.
In which Binghe is an omega (eventually), and Shen Qingqiu is an alpha (eventually), and they both manage to work things out. Eventually.

Eat something the rest of you didn’t?” He questioned.
Shen Jiu shook his head. “He wasn’t even drinking the wine.” He said and walked to stand right next to Yue Qi’s sickbed. The young man at least looked peaceful in his forced sleep. “And this isn’t a Qi Deviation? Maybe it hit again after last time?” He inched his hand to take a hold of Yue Qi’s, but under the Peak Lord’s attention he was being careful.

"Yes, you've already said as much, shidi. Several times." Yue Qingyuan looked like he wanted to die a little bit, which was unfair. He wasn't the one who'd been dosed with a wife-plot potion designed to lower inhibitions while also compelling the truth! If anyone here should be embarrassed, it was Shen Qingqiu!
He didn't feel embarrassed, though. That was probably due to the potion, now that he thought about it.
