“We will discuss that afterwards. Let me prepare the sterile field.” Singed smoothed a hand over his shin, and addressed Viktor’s barely open eyes. “Boy, I never expected to see you again. But you have brought me a great boon once again, haven’t you? Close your eyes, Viktor. When you open them again, you will experience what it’s like to truly be loved.”

Less than a week later, the lobotomy appointment was scheduled. Viktor had grown increasingly paranoid, and it broke Mel’s heart to see him flinch away from her, and look at his own body like it wasn’t his own. Not only that, but Jayce could hardly see him without Viktor staring at him as though he were a ghost.
When he’s strapped down, Mel and Jayce are with him at every step of the way. Viktor’s eyes are wide with fear, blue like hextech. “Don’t do this to me. I’m not insane, please don’t do this to me. Jayce- Mel- Jayce- Mel!” Jayce presses his forehead to Viktor’s as the gag goes in, to prevent him from biting his own tongue, and Mel runs her thumb over her knuckles in a mockery of love as he goes under.
