Husk notices him first. Must be those cat instincts. He looks surprised, for a second, to see Angel, like he hadn’t expected him, but Angel’s honestly more relieved than anything else. He doesn’t dwell on that, though, he can’t—instead, his mind snaps back into place, runs through all the things it should be saying until it finds the right one:
