“Heh. Ha!” Montresor sent a sharp laugh ringing through the air and took another step towards Pluto, making the him curse the height difference between him and the taller man as Montresor leaned down close to his face.
“Don’t worry, runt. I’m brave, but I ain’t stupid. That’s why I figured-” Montresor grinned even wider. “-I can hurt Duke more than I ever could if I hurt you.”OR

And of course Pluto now had to face another terrifying version of Ada- except so much worse. He wasn’t trapped inside his own mind reliving his worst nightmares now. They had come out to greet him.
And maybe that wouldn’t be so scary if Pluto had any clue what was going on, but he didn’t, and seeing his dad show up was not helping with his jumbled-up brain.

Summary
One Thursday in September, 2026, a company named C&A is broken into. Pictures go viral- rows and rows of glowing pods, each with somebody inside them wearing a VR headset. Police show up at the scene soon after, followed by the news, while everyone prays that the experiments the corporation placed on the poor people weren't fatal.
Spoiler alert: they were not.
They were pretty traumatizing, though.OR
Everyone gets out of the circus and is expected to return to their normal lives. One problem: no one who was inside the Amazing Digital Circus was leading a normal life int he first place.
They all got trapped in their for a reason, right? It wasn't random.
