Summary
Jax's life had always been hollow. A simple routine of going through the motions, hardly ever feeling anything at all.
Work, eat, sleep, repeat.
He was tired of feeling numb.
Pomni was the only person who could fix him.

Summary
Another argument where it went too far. A mistake he had made, something he had taken out on her. She knew how to push back and neither one of them relented until it was already past the point of saving. It’d happened too many times to count at this point.
He hated her. He hated how much he needed her. She was like some kind of addiction to him. His skin felt itchy when she was out of reach, but too much of her felt fucking lethal. Their relationship was toxic. They both knew it. But they always ended up back in each other's bed no matter how many times they said it was over.

Summary
This is why she never wanted to go on these websites. She never wanted to pay for porn, and feared what kind of floodgates this would open. But, even so, it made her blood pump through her veins, in the same way her other usual thrills did. Maybe even more intense. Definitely more intense.
The way she was looking at her set her heart aflame. When was the last time Pomni had somebody look at her like that?? Has anybody? She had eyes that could lure in anyone, and Pomni would be just another one of the victims of her siren song, surely.
Besides, she always was an adrenaline junkie.

Summary
Pomni stepped into the room just a little, leaning her weight back against the door. She thought about toying with him a little, but at the end of the day, she really just wanted to get down to it. Pressing her lips together, she glanced quickly around the hall, watchful for familiar faces that actually might question her if they saw who she was talking to.
When she felt the coast was sufficiently clear, she turned back to him. “What are you doing after work?”
Jax only stared at her for a beat or two, his eyes a touch wider than they had been a moment ago. He seemed surprised to hear her be so forward—an unintended effect, but not an unwelcome one.
At length, though, he smirked. “You tell me.”
