Kids are the joy of life, cousin Mikoto once said, presenting him with the ugliest, wrinkliest, most eyesoreful infant possible. Itachi opened his eyes then, and, almost as if he could read Obito’s thoughts and decipher the grimace of disgust on his face, started crying and screeching like a captured bijou - Obito would know, he heard that sound many times by now.
So that was a fucking lie.
He forces himself not to comment on the armoury that the kid’s bed had become - he can allow Sasuke to keep some paranoia, as a treat - and instead tugs at the covers.
Three more shuriken and a kunai fall to the floor.
“I’m happy right here. Can you teach me katon?” Sasuke tells him, as if Obito isn't going through every thing he knows about anger management in his head right now.
“Kid, seriously,” Obito rubs at his temples, “take it from me, only having training as your hobby will lead to a burnout,” or, to becoming a terrorist that gets thrown into the past against his will.
Or; after the fight with Kaguya, instead of dying, Obito finds himself in the Uchiha compound week post the massacre.
He ends up taking care of Sasuke.Or; Obito repents by becoming a parental figure.

Ever since they returned from Kannabi Bridge, Rin's teammates have been acting weird.
Kakashi's suddenly somehow loosened up, he's reading pornography in public, and he's making jokes. His coolness factor has gone down drastically! Obito's prone to long sullen silences, and his usual cheerfulness seems... forced. And there seems to be some sort of one-sided tension between the two. Plus Rin can't go anywhere without Obito following her.
What's a girl to do? Figure out what the hell's going on, and get her team back to normal!
Or, the one where Kakashi and Obito are sent back to the past and think no one is the wiser. Their younger counterparts, due to a seal quirk, end up in their bodies.

Naruto and Sasuke had accepted their deaths as they laid there on the ground, bloody and broken, each missing an arm, but instead of death, they both wake up as their 12-year-old selves again along with Sakura for some reason.
They’ve been given a second chance it seems and now they have to learn how to navigate not only the issues of their past but also a flurry of new problems including but not limited to, Sakura’s sudden uncontrollable bouts of super strength, Naruto‘s loss of connection with the Kyuubi, and Sasuke’s now chronic chakra exhaustion from his sick new mangekyou Sharingans that he got from watching the death of a brother who isn't quite dead yet.

Summary
How do you define where a life begins and where it ends? The first and last breath? Where the memories start and end? One might suppose it's the soul, when it takes shape and when it loses it. In the end, it's a question few could ever answer, if any at all. And really, what does it matter to Naruto how life is defined when the first thing he feels is cold and distinctly out of place? A world that is not his own. A world untouched by a war that never seemed to end.
OR
The war dragged on for year after year, each village and comrade falling one after the other. In the end, that included the Uzumaki that was supposed to save the world as well. Naruto's soul is sent through the fabric of time and space in a last-ditch effort by his dying lover, and now Naruto has to handle the reality of waking up in a world untouched by the war that made him who he was, and a life untouched by the love he held onto with dear life. Gods on his side or not, there was too much to do and so little time to do it.
Though this fic is tagged with AU gods and goddesses, the only gods in the story are original characters and they won't have much focus placed on them unless people really want to hear their stories!
