Denki worried his lower lip with his teeth as he placed items on the conveyor belt, wondering if and how he should strike up a conversation and ultimately get this stranger’s number, maybe a meal with him, too. He released his lip as he placed the last item down and took a step back, running through sentence starters in his head before he paused.
The man was staring directly at him, unamused.
“...what?” Denki glanced down at himself and then back at the man. Nothing was amiss with himself, so why…?
The cashier nodded at the bag of flour “Put it up.”
Shit, his voice is nice too…
Denki blinked, then shook his head. “No can do. It’s mine. Ours, actually. Y’know the mean-looking guy with the blond hair? Yeah.”
The cashier narrowed his eyes. “You need to pay.”

Hitoshi is a villain and has been for most of his life. The villains were the ones who accepted him for who he was, raised him as their own, and taught him the ways of the underground. He knew the hero system was fake. The heroes never saved him, after all.
So when he gets assigned a mission to infiltrate UA and act as one of their own students, he thinks it'll be easy. He'll be there one day and out the next, gathering information he needs, simple as that.
But then... it isn't that easy. He starts to feel like he belongs. And he shouldn't. He starts to find himself becoming... attached.
Dangerously so.

First, why was someone who knew what his quirk was and what it could do coming up and talking to him so easily? And second, the thought that had gone through his head at the time… Hitoshi remembered it, word for word.

“What is the reason for your request?” the judge asks, finally regaining his voice. Hawks drags his eyes away from Dabi to look up at the judge.

Aizawa Shouta remembers Todoroki declaring war on Midoriya, making it clear that he was here to be the best and didn't give a damn about anyone or anything, besides getting to the top.
All but five minutes later, he risked his life without hesitation to help Izuku and Iida.
So, when Hitoshi's first day in class A arrives, and he tells his Dads that he's not joining the hero course to make friends, Aizawa and Yamada share a look, and then laugh right in his face.

Shinsou Hitoshi has finally joined Class 2A. He's not here to make friends. He's here to be a hero. If only these weirdly nice people would just leave him alone.
