However, there's nothing logical about not reporting Jazz, who has a secret relationship with Soundwave.
There's also nothing logical about saving Soundwave on the battlefield.

But, to be fair repeating the same day isn’t too bad. He kinda just wishes that there was more energon flavours in the cooler.

before time began, there was Unicron and Primus. Chaos and destruction, and peace and creation, in harmony. Primus became the planet cybertron, and for a time, they lived in peace. but like all great things, it never lasted. and so began a battle that lasted for centuries. Primus created the Primes, a group of valiant warriors to defeat Unicron until he vanished to the stars. Cybertron continued to exist in peace, and the Primes joined the well of All Sparks. then a new war began, bwetween autobots and decepticons. a war that ravaged the planet until it expanded beyond into the far reaches of space.
Prowl never paid any mind to that tale. it was old imformation, irrelivant to the war that stormed around him. Kup, on the otherhand, had a fondness for old stories. they were hardened, wartorn soldiers. so when they both respectively had a scrappy kid thrown into their arms, it was safe to say they were unprepaired. but Prowl was a world-class tactition, and had Jazz at his side. Kup was the leader of the Wreckers. surely they could handle a kid, right? what could possibly go wrong?

Storming across the hangar floor, Optimus approached the loan shuttle with apprehension prickling across his plating. As soon as the Prime laid optics on the mechs descending the ramp he all but tripped over his own peds. There, standing on the ramp, stood the away team. No major injuries could be seen. Aside from a few scuffs and dents, Jazz, Mirage, and Bumblebee all looked like they had escaped from Decepticon territory relatively unscathed. No, it wasn’t the extraction team that had stolen the Primes equilibrium. It was the tiny form of a mechling hiding behind Jazz’s leg that had caught his attention.

Or; Prowl willingly gave his life up to complete the Allspark, to save the Earth, to keep Optimus and his friends safe. He would not, however, do the same for this entirely different Prime. All he wants to do is go home.
