Summary
When Chara Dreemurr lay dying in the Hall of Judgement, all they could think about was seeing Rei again, wrapping their arms around their fluffy brother, and telling him just how sorry they were that they couldn't protect him, that they couldn't protect them all, from their twisted reflection.
What they didn't expect after their eyes shut was for them to open again in an unfamiliar room inside something called a hospital with their wounds cleaned and tended to before being taken into the care of a doppelganger of their mother and what seemed to be a second reflection, named Kris.
What they expected even less was to find themselves part of a prophecy that foretold the world's destruction and how it would be saved by Four Heroes: two humans, one a noble warrior, strange and mischievous yet just and brave, the other, a devilish rogue from parts known yet unknown, a monster, brash and bold, and a lonely prince from the dark.
But, what Chara didn't expect least of all, was them and Kris growing closer over the course of their adventures... and coming to see each other not merely as reflections in some unseen mirror, but as something more, something deeper, something intimate.

They hear footsteps and the unmistakable infuriatingly apt noise of an umbrella opening. Futilely hoping that it’s a random monster minding their own business, Chara’s heart drops when whoever it is stops neatly besides them. Purposeful. Only then do they turn to admonish the person who decided to mock them.
“Didn’ take ya to be someone who forgets an umbrella,” blankly comments Clover, one of the only other humans in town, and someone whom being this close in proximity of ruins Chara’s day.

Summary
Some children are born touched by misfortune. Able was born marked by something older.

Life is comfortable out in the wilderness near Nowheresville, New Hometown. You don't get bothered by the obnoxiously loud noises of the construction sites, and you get to keep the company of various animals... Cows, it's mostly cows. But if Clover had to choose a downside to their lifestyle, it would be the constant, looming threat of vampires descending upon the innocent townspeople.

Eight years later, the barrier broke, and Clover would be led by a flowery friend to a most shocking discovery - Melody, alive and breathing.
But with Melody's revival comes with it the return of old wounds - wounds that Melody needs to at least try to help patch up. But Melody came to the Underground for a reason, and as they work to fix the wounds of others, their own scars become apparent.
