Summary
With the Traveling Circus now split, Pomni, Caine and Jax are forced to take the longer route to the Ruins of Seenay, while Ragatha, Gangle, Zooble and Kinger take the more forested route. Both treks will take them to the same destination, but not only are Ragatha's half without their team's ears, but Jax is still not keen on being travel buddies with a bard and a magica entity who just attempted to pelt rocks and fry him.
Maybe this is what they need: the time away from the rest of the team may allow Pomni to see who Jax really is, while time away from Jax may allow Gangle the chance to open up to Zooble and have private conversations she never had the chance to have because the ranger was always picking on her.
And with Jax's clock now ticking, time is of the essence: Pomni needs to find a cure to this virus before the infection claims someone else she's beginning to care about.

Summary
Wanting to get a very desperate Caine out of his tail, Jax sarcastically snaps at him.
Unfortunately for Jax, Caine didn't interpret the sarcasm, and ironically interpreted what Jax wanted the least as what Jax wanted the most. Now Jax is in the cellar, not abstracted, but certainly not well.

Summary
After Jax pressed the wrong button, everyone is -now more than ever- doomed to remain imprisoned in the circus.
Something snaps inside Zooble's head that day - it's HIS fault, all of this, they having to endure their life inside this horrid and fake place, where nothing is real, nothing sitcks. Everyday everything resets, this is not real, this is not even life.
But the moment Zooble and Jax fought... something felt nothing like the circus, it felt real.
That wrong and sickening feeling of being held in a world where nothing matters, nothing is permanent and pain is the only proof of existence keeps creeping inside Zooble's mind, but not just inside their mind - Jax's too. It's not right - but at the same time... it's so fitting.
