[“Alright,” Frank says, patting the denim of Gerard’s jeans, “Let’s just drive around a while?”
“Uh huh,” Gerard responds, distracted. He’s leaning forward and squinting at a road sign that’s emerging from the dark. Frank rolls his eyes to himself, not unfondly, and removes his hand from Gerard's thigh to start messing with the radio, trying to find a station that’s playing something worth listening to. It’s mostly static, but he thinks he’s found a local oldies station by the time he looks up and realizes Gerard has pulled off the highway and around the back of some rest stop.
“Gee, seriously, where the fuck are we—,” he’s cut off by Gerard’s hand on his chin guiding him into a harsh, bruising kiss. Frank makes a startled noise in the back of his throat, and then melts into it.]
OR
Gerard and Frank avoid talking about their feelings, have a run in with the local police, and resolve nothing.

“It’s kind of a miracle Frank hasn’t been sick since Warped.”
Gerard and Mikey both sigh loudly in unison,
“Well he will now, Toro, what the hell,” Gerard says, crossing his arms and shaking his head.
“You guys are such superstitious idiots,” Ray says, rolling his eyes so hard his mane of hair moves, too, “I swear, it’s all your mom’s creepy fucking dolls. You guys were raised by god damn warlocks or some shit.”
“Warlocks of New Jersey, save that for a band name!” Frank says, giggling again. The others groan at Frank’s nonsensical laughter, used to and fondly annoyed by his typical post-show hyper energy. Gerard can’t help but find him adorable. Ridiculous, sure, but standing there laughing at nothing, reaching up to loosen the red tie from his stage outfit, expression open and unguarded and obviously just so fucking happy to be hanging out with his band, Gerard thinks he’s kind of fucking beautiful. They all relax for a second. That is, until Frank’s laughter devolves into harsh coughing.

Party, Kobra's hot sibling that Ghoul is definitely not gay for—shut up, Kobra—is sadly not caught up with their younger brother's friendship with Ghoul and mistakingly assumes they're dating.
Ghoul is pining for someone he promised Kobra he wouldn't chase, Party is battling inner demons (their own misunderstanding of the situation), and Kobra is tired. So tired.

Frank definitely falls into the admirer camp; there’s no point pretending otherwise. He already made that fact public information when he found Gerard in the crowd at the Harvest Festival, crooning straight to him with enough intent to make coincidence an insult.
And okay, fine, so Frank wants him. That hardly makes the guy a pioneer.
The part that matters is what happened after the set — when Frank walked over and didn't treat Gerard’s face like it was the only interesting thing about him.

"What the fuck is happening, dude?" Gerard asks. The grip of Frank's hand on his is starting to hurt.
"It's on the news, Gee. They're saying it's a new epidemic and that it's contagious and it spreads fast, but no one can tell how you get it. People are going catatonic, or just acting fucking weird. Like that girl at the bar."
Gerard blinks against the darkness and he can't really wrap his mind around it. "But I'm fine."
"Yeah that's why I'm getting you out. The moment they find out you're special, you'll be a lab rat."
Gerard is sick. He can't eat, he can't go under the sun, his teeth feel wrong. Frank has seen enough horror movies to know where this is going. However, the kicker is that this one curse doesn't stem from hatred but grief, and removing the jinx might take a lot more than they're willing to give.

One voice rang out clearly amongst the others, pitched a little higher and interspersed with giggles. “I volunteer!”
Frank raised his head to pout at Gerard, but the sparkle in the elder’s eyes and his wide smile made it difficult to be mad. Frank’s face broke out into his own grin, and he swatted at Gerard’s shoulder playfully.
“You fucker. I’ll hold you to that,” he teased.
