Summary
A brief vacation, and some long overdue conversation.
Tighnari tucks a stray piece of hair behind Cyno’s ear. “Would you mind if we talked today? It’s nothing bad-” he hesitates. “...I just wanted to revisit some ground rules.”
A brief second of tension, then Cyno’s spine straightens out, and Tighnari watches as Cyno's expression settles into something attentive, a touch cautious. His maroon eye sharpens as the remnants of sleep fades fully.
“Of course.”

One could set a ship to sea with the force of Tighnari’s sigh. Cyno’s voice is sweet and teasing, bright like the day itself. Tighnari peeks one eye open to level Cyno with the flattest look in his arsenal. It softens immediately; pales in the face of affection swimming though Tighnari’s veins.
Head nearly upside down to look at him, Cyno grins, the ends of his hair brushing the rock. Much, much too handsome for anyone’s good.

Summary
Commoners were, by all means, considered filthy. Even the rich. No amount of begging, money, praying, would allow one to touch Tighnari.
It would be like touching a priceless relic from ancient ruins.
“You can't touch the Honoured One.” A priest yanked the lady back, standing between her and Tighnari. “Don’t forget yourself, lest we throw you back out into the snow.”
Tighnari shook off the shock of being touched. “It's alright.” He decided. He knew he would have to bathe again. “This poor soul could not contain her joy. We should not punish her for that.” He told the priest. But he felt weirdly violated.
The priest turned around, clearly not agreeing and wanting to protest. But no one could argue with the Honoured One.
Tighnari looked at the priest curiously. He had seen this one before. A diligent priest, with a striking look. White hair, red eyes. A tan, too. Was Tighnari supposed to know his name? Maybe Kaveh knew. He placed a gentle hand on the priest's arm.
“Thank you.”
The priest seemed a little lost for words from the touch and clear gratitude of the Honoured One. He then bowed deeply.

Where Cyno would join his beloved god in everything, even death.

"Nari," Cyno said again, trading their names back and forth, shortened but not less saccharine, pulled from his tongue in such a honey-hued tone he tasted the sweetness on his lips seconds after. "I want you."
"Mh," Tighnari was still leaning against his legs. He pushed against Cyno's knees with his shoulders until they fell open and he could sprawl between them, cheek rubbing over Cyno's stomach with a soft, animal nuzzle. "Have me then."
In which Tighnari and Cyno decide to get high together and take a leap beyond simple friendship.

“I didn’t realize,” she mumbles. Cyno looks up at her, confused. She isn’t usually so ashamed of her nosiness. Usually more defensive, actually. “I didn’t realize they were from your lover.”
Cyno’s face suddenly burns as if Dehya had tried to cauterize it. “What?”
“The letters,” she stammers. “I only read one, I swear. I thought they were business letters.”
“You thought they were busine—Tighnari?” Cyno bounces back, helplessly. “Tighnari is not my lover.”
Suddenly, Dehya’s eyebrows furrow. “Excuse me?”
Her confusion offends him further. “Yes, excuse you.”
“No, no,” Dehya shakes her nosy head, stepping closer and snatching up a letter, unfolding it and scanning it. Cyno only lets her because he is confident that whatever she finds there will back him up. “Yours, Tighnari? Does he sign every letter like this?”Bookmarked by Rea_lv

It was as if they were letting everything that had built up in the past few minutes catch up to them, letting it sink into every corner of their minds that this was entirely real. Then, Tighnari leaned forward, pressing their lips together hungrily.
