It was so quick that for a moment, Sirius thought there was the slightest chance that James and Peter had missed it. He hadn’t meant to, he really hadn’t. It’s just that when he had looked at the time on the clock that hung in the common room wall and had realised Dorcas must be waiting for him at the pitch to practice the new Quidditch moves she’d discovered and promised to teach him, Sirius had instinctively stood up, given Remus a short kiss on the lips, and had been about to turn around to walk out when it hit him.
He’d kissed Remus. In front of James and Peter, who did not know he had been kissing Remus for a few months already. Well, actually, doing quite a lot more than just kissing him. -

Frank said that being nervous is fine, and Buck just said he's proud, and the only thought Eddie has in his head is that it's embarrassing he can't raise his head and say it like a man, so clearly, he's going to need to hang on to other people's words for the time being, someone who isn't his dad trying to explain the ways Eddie's allowed to inhabit the world.
