He and his squad had entertained the idea of another location, a backup facility somewhere in case ARK went down. Because they always had a backup, an out in case things went wrong as they tended to do. Either she was an excellent liar or she told the truth.
"What does that have to do with those marks?"
"I'm not sure."
"You came all the way out here and into my tent on a hunch?" Chris had stepped further inside, close enough for her to lift her head to meet his eyes.
"Oh, Alpha," she said, his code name drawn out in a way he could only hear as patronizing. "You know I'd come here on more than that."

“It, uh, takes over me sometimes,” he says. His voice is quiet, almost lost beneath the sound of the air rushing around them. “It’s sporting and I’m good at it, but then there’s something else. Beneath my skin, and sometimes it just… bursts out and I like it too much and I can’t stop myself.” He can’t bring himself to speak any louder, can’t bring himself to believe that someone else is hearing him say this. He’s a rowdy and he’s delighted in the rebellion, in the moments of abjection when someone can see the gleam of skillful violence in his eyes and flinch back. Luckily STARS Captain Albert Wesker is around to help him out with that. Luckily Captain Wesker and Agent Wong seem to know each other. Luckily they're both willing to help Leon get to the bottom of investigating this outbreak.
And if they happened to have mistook him for a rival mercenary out to steal Umbrella's secrets and the last remaining G virus sample, that's really not Leon's problem.

Chris’s eyes whip to his, fast. He searches his face, maybe he thinks Leon is lying, but he isn’t, so there’s no deception to be found in his expression as far as he knows. He pushes off the desk, takes a couple steps to stand in front of Leon, then drops to his knees. They’re at eye level now, Leon still a bit hunched over. “I thought you couldn’t?” He asks, voice hoarse.
TLDR; I can't believe Leon S. Kennedy was pregnant with Grace during RE4, he should've been on maternity leave.

Summary
It started when he was younger, a passing thing he had done in the first foster home he could remember being in. He would close his eyes tightly, squeezing to the point he could make out sparks of color underneath his eyelids, and would take one last gasp for air before holding it just as tightly in his lungs. Then, he would wait.
The first time, he heard nothing but the sound of a porch swing creaking in the wind outside of his bedroom window. Cars passing by on the street outside. The gentle groans of a house eight times as old as him. No footsteps. Nobody coming running out of a divine sense that the little boy had stopped breathing. The world kept spinning and his lungs soon ached for the rapidly depleting oxygen. Nobody came.
The place changed, his lung capacity even changed, but the one universal constant was that nobody ever came through the door.
Maybe that's why Leon, drunk out of his mind on a motel floor, hadn't even heard the first knock.

Summary
