Summary
The Butterfly Effect is our story, told over four books. One event leading to a drastically different future The Nublar Six could have never predicted. Dancing with Death and the thin line it weaves in their lives surviving on an island full of unpredictability. They dance the line, wavering and waning, when any moment any of them could be lost.
The Island is in a delicate balance, but so is life. It gives and takes. The Nublar Six are used to taking from the island, taking and learning from life, how to survive, how to live. Could they survive this delicate balance when the balance is tipped and threatens to take something, someone, from them?

Summary
A new mutation appears on Simon out of nowhere, so he tries to hide it from Grace: covering up, avoiding him, refusing to come to bed. Finally, Grace has enough and confronts Simon, only to be met with an astonishing sight.
A sharp-toothed maw on Simon's stomach, gnashing its fangs.
———
"Simon. Darling."
Another pause.
"Yes, angel…?" Simon said through his shirt.
"What is that?"
One more pause.
"….mouth."
"No—I can see that, but, like…wh…how…what?"

Summary
Simon has been making increasingly suggestive comments about breeding Ryland for months, and Grace has had enough.
There’s just one problem: the more Simon teases him about it, the more curious Grace becomes about the fantasy. Eventually, Grace’s scientific objections give way to a very different kind of experiment.Or: Simon is a freak, and Grace is a freak for his huband.
