Summary
Out of all of the possible jobs you could get in the beautiful city of Manburg, the best you could possibly hope for would be a position in the hero’s tower. Though being in the town square, close to the town hall and other villain targets, it’s oddly peaceful inside the tower. There could be a villain-hero fight just outside the doors, hell, even in the lobby and nobody aside from those in the fight could be bothered. The security is fantastic, none of the staff (aside from the heroes who get into fights) ever get hurt. Good hours, great pay, amazing benefits, it’s the perfect job!
At least that’s what the brochures sat on the counter said, from the parts Tommy was able to read from his spot behind the cash register of a trendy-looking bookstore. Don’t be mistaken, Tommy loves his job, he thinks it’s amazing, and his boss is very kind.

Summary
Tubbo stood there, and turned his head to look at the building
Something bothered him about this place.
He paused for a moment.
Was there a figure there in the window?
He blinked.
There was nothing there.
He was probably just hallucinating it.

In a small town known as Essempii, everyone there is just living their lives.
Until strange things start to happen around town, people going missing, rumors of hearing strange noises, supposed sightings of something in the forest, and who knows what else.Tubbo is intent on finding out what happened to the missing, despite any dangers, he searches.
Tommy is too, but finds himself stuck back in town most of the time, while his best friend is out there investigating who knows what kinds of dangers.
Niki is worried about everything happening, but finds herself dragged into the very heart of the mess, and is determined to find a way out.
Karl has an idea of what's happening. He tries to help those searching from the sidelines, until he can’t any longer.
All four try to make sure nothing else will go wrong.

Summary
Faes exist, and humans are scared of Faes. The Faes stay in the forest... As there's a ring made of mushrooms and plants, that ring, divides the Faes world from the humans. The humans say the Faes are dangerous... Though they look like normal humans, sure they sparkled and in good lighting there eyes seemed to glow.
Phil had two sons, a 17 year old named techno and a 15 year old named Tommy, he used to have three, techno had a twin, though when techno and him were age 7, he walked to the forest... And disappeared, Phil changed, he never brought him up, he never let techno near the forest, and when Tommy was born, he never said anything about Tommy's second older brother, techno thought Tommy deserved to know about his other sibling, though the fights Phil and him got in late at night after Tommy fell asleep made him not say a word about his twin to Tommy. Tommy had always been drawn to the forest but Phil was to protective to let him near it, even at fifteen he was drawn, he grew up hearing about the fae and how they are dangerous, techno read books about them that Tommy would read... If he liked to read, he had always wanted to see the fae ring. And maybe something in that ring... Wanted to see him.-

“How do you know about that?” Karl finally found his voice, curling his hands into fists in an attempt to stifle their trembling.
“I saw it!” Slime exclaimed, “You’re Karl from Kinoko Kingdom, Karl from the Masquerade, Karl from the Wild West, Karl from Not A Very Good Town, and Karl from The Town That Never Was!” He counted out all the different titles on his fingers as he beamed at Karl, looking rather proud of himself for recalling all that information.
Karl shook Slime off his arm, backing away from him. “No, no, no, you shouldn’t know that, how do you know that?”

Slime ignored (or did he not even notice?) his distress, still practically vibrating with curiosity. “So, how old are you? Do you have bones? I definitely have bones, but if you happened to not have bones, I wouldn’t tell anyone. Apart from Quackity from Las Nevadas because he’s my bestest best friend!”
Right. Quackity was there.
Karl’s eyes flitted briefly to Quackity, not understanding the cold look on his face. “I... I have bones? I think? Now that I think about it, I’m not actually entirely sure?”
Quackity’s expression shifted to one of genuine confusion. “How the fuck do you just not know if you have bones?”
“Well, you know with the whole shapeshifter thing, I’m not a hundred percent sure how any of it works. Like, especially the mass thing because I can shift into things that have a bigger and smaller masses than my usual form and I still don’t know how that even works and, oh gods, please tell me this isn’t the first you’re hearing of this.”
Karl shifted nervously on his feet as Quackity gaped at him.
“Why the hell didn’t you tell me that you’re a shapeshifter?”
“I, uh,” Karl fumbled for words, “I forgot?”

“Wait, Drew-”You could practically hear a pin drop in the silence following Karl's slip up.
“You can’t even get my fucking name right!” Quackity exploded at Karl, “What is it, huh? Replaced me already? Found someone else to use and then ignore? Just fuck off!”
Karl was about to respond, but apparently Slime thought this was an amazing place to jump back into the conversation.
“He’s not replaced you!” He chimed in ever so helpfully, “Drew is from years and years and years ago – he’s already dead!”
Quackity’s jaw snapped shut.
“S-Slime, don’t-” Karl started.
“He was at the Masquerade!”
“Karl, what the fuck is this ‘masquerade’ he keeps mentioning?” Quackity asked tensely.
“It- it’s nothing, Q,” Karl stammered, “Slime, j-just stop, please .”
Slime did not stop.

It wasn’t fair – he could no longer recall the faces of his parents, but not a day went by that Karl’s mind wasn’t plagued with images of blood soaked masks and all the other horrible memories he wished he could erase.He felt hands gripping his shoulders and scrambled backwards in a panic, desperate to get away from whoever or whatever was grabbing at him. He couldn’t breathe. He couldn’t breathe and he felt like he was dying and Drew was dead and for once he so badly wanted to forget, why couldn’t he forget, please, please, please let him forget.

He knew Karl had memory issues, but he had no idea they were this bad. He had never expected to wake up one morning to see Karl pressed backing out of the room in a panic because “I don’t remember, gods, I don’t remember”. The second Sapnap had made a move towards him, Karl fucking bolted. Sapnap didn’t think he’d ever seen the man move so fast.

“Why shouldn’t I be mad at Karl? He must have not told me on purpose – it’s not like he would just fucking forget to.”“Uh, well, about that,” Sapnap said sheepishly.
Quackity stared at him. “Fuck off. Do I mean that little to him?!”
“No, no, no, it’s not like that! I promise you, Q, it’s not like that-”
“James?”
Sapnap whirled round to see Karl stood in the doorway of the bedroom, his arms wrapped around his waist as his wide eyes stared at the two men sat on the sofa. Quickly standing up, Sapnap hurried over to Karl, resting his hands gently on the other man’s arms.
“Hey Karl, it’s- it’s Sapnap. Do you want to come sit down?” He asked gently.
Karl’s eyes flitted briefly to Sapnap’s face before locking back on Quackity. “I don’t- when- where am I?”
“We’re at Quackity’s place. You had a pretty bad panic attack so we brought you back here to rest. Is that okay?” Sapnap was aware that ‘pretty bad’ was an understatement, but he didn’t want to freak Karl out.
“It’s not- I'm- I don’t know,” Karl mumbled.
“That’s okay, you don’t have to know. That’s okay, love.”
“I don’t- Q’s here? He’s real?”
Sapnap frowned, following Karl’s gaze to where it was still locked on Quackity. “...Yes, he’s real,” he said uncertainly. “Love, are you okay?”

The sound of the watch’s gears clicking and grinding went unnoticed under Karl’s pleas. The watch glowed, burning Karl’s wrist, and Sapnap grabbed his arm in a panic.A second later the street was empty.

Karl stumbled out of the time jump, almost falling to his knees as he tripped. Beside him he could hear Sapnap and Quackity both retching.
Yeah... You get used to it.
