Summary
Scott Springwell is a famous thief of Skyblue Kingdom. He's charming, and quick on his feat. Never once has he been caught by the knights that patrol the streets, though some of it is thanks to his friend, Cleo, who distracts his targets and makes sure he gets out of trouble in pubs.
One day, though, after saving his friend, Scott finds himself behind bars in the royal dungeons. He plans to escape before anyone can punish him, but when the king and queen call for his presence, it isn't to choose his fate, but to demand for his help.
A killer is loose in Skyblue Kingdom, and after weeks with no luck of finding him, the king and queen decided to use a different approach: hire a criminal.
Now, Scott is forced to help a monarchy he hates, keep a low profile, and worst of all: he's stuck with a knight surveilling him 24/7.
At first, Scott tries his best to rebel against the knight, but after failing every single time, he has to learn to adapt to his new companion. Dragging him through the kingdom, Scott simply wants the knight to leave. He cant stand the thought of eventually caring for another person. Not after last time.

Darkness pulsed around 4c, his head spinning, and stomach twisting. He evaporated into nothing for a few moments, before being thrown to the castle ground. He landed without bouncing, collapsing to the floor, legs aching from the impact. No one was around, thank goodness.

He pressed himself further back into the corner, a snarl coming to his lips. The eye creatures never reacted to his shouting, but they did hesitate when he growled. But when the lanky aliens came around the corner, they didn't so much as look at him. Instead, they were focused on what looked like a stretcher, the kind that ambulances used back on Earth.
Sitting atop it, perfectly still, was another human.
Scar felt his heart stop in his chest. It was impossible. There was no way there was another human on the ship. It had to be a trick of some kind, a robot made to look human, or a statue, or something. This was some sort of experiment, a test to see how he would react to seeing something that looked like his own species.
But they looked so lifelike.

The Red Kingdom is planning something. The Blue Kingdom has gotten word of the Red Kingdom's Necromancer, Mythical J. Sausage, has made some sort of magic ritual circle. They travel to Red Kingdom to figure out what is happening and potential put a stop to the mage summoning the undead, but somethings go wrong. Certain secrets come to light, and the Kingdoms figure out why Sir Nominal is the most dangerous knight of the Kingdoms.

Summary
There’s no time. His chest burned with every step, a hot striking pain shooting up his legs. He sprinted, fumbling for a potion of swiftness in his emergency bundle. Nom slammed it onto the ground, ignoring the glass of shards scattering around him. A rush of adrenaline coursed through his decaying lungs, running past the circus and closer to the kingdoms.
“Gotta go- gotta warn them.”
It’s still too slow. Why did it feel like nothing happened? Of course, he couldn’t have missed the splash effect, but he swore it hit him.
There! The Rue-bars in sight. He could see the bridge, the arena, but no people at all.
“Anyone?!” He reached the bridge, frantically searching. There were signs of a battle, grass trampled, blood in the air and the smell of gunpowder. “Where-where is everybody?!” The crows squawked uselessly above him. Why was no one here? Nom started heading towards Red, avoiding a large crater when he heard the same gravelly voice.

It’s so easy to kill someone with their helmet down, Nom has realised.
But when you’re born of the same soil, suddenly you see their face everywhere in the place you once called home.
Seeing the cliffs of the kingdom made Nom’s skin crawl beneath his armour.
He steered the sail towards the beach, wanting anything but to see his homeland again, and yet being unable to look away.
Part of him had hoped that war had torn it apart while he was gone, that he would come back to a ruin, a place he could fit in, that would match how he felt inside now.
But it remained unchanged.
It was only Nom who was different.
