"Your birthday is coming up,” Minho surprises him by saying, “and I know we’re a few weeks away from it, but I probably need to be in Osaka the day after and I was… I was wondering if you’d like to come with me?”
“To go to Osaka with you?” Hyunjin echoes, even more surprised by this. “For your work… thing? What would I do in Osaka without you?”
“Not without me,” Minho laughs softly, brushing his knuckles across Hyunjin’s cheek. “Your birthday is Sunday the 20th, right? We could leave the night before and you’d wake up in Japan and we’d do whatever you wanted to. I could probably take Wednesday off if you wanted one more day, too."
Hyunjin’s heart pounds furiously in his chest, trying to tempt him into jumping Minho in pure excitement while Hyunjin’s brain is trying to convince him to be just a smidge less embarrassing than that.

Summary
“Hyung… what..?” Hyunjin’s mind couldn’t form any coherent word as he stared down at the big carton in front of him, then back to Changbin who looked a little taken aback that Hyunjin found it.
Paper rings. The exact same ones Changbin used to give him back then. But he couldn’t understand why there were so many. Hyunjin didn’t have to count to say that there were hundreds of paper rings of all different colors.
“These are yours,” Hyunjin slowly looked up at Changbin who let out a breathy chuckle before holding out the rings in front of him. “Each ring for the days I missed you."
