“I’m thinking maybe we should talk about love?” are the first words from Ravi Panikkar’s mouth as he settles onto the picnic blanket his friend May Grant spread out at Griffith Park on a random Tuesday.
Her beautiful little mouth opens wide to say something, but no words come out. Instead, a fly flies by during the awkward silence.
“Never mind. I promised myself I’d never fall in love when I was in chemotherapy treatment. It’s stupid,” Ravi immediately ignores what he said a second ago while looking down at the bright green grass.

Once Buck was strapped in a harness and began to climb the firetruck’s ladder he approached Sister Greta and commanded her, “M’am, I am going to need you to stop climbing,” he yelled from where he was climbing.
“No, thank you, Satan,” Sister Greta said while climbing up the metal structure.
Buck used his walkie-talkie to communicate with his Captain. “ Cap, she thinks I am Satan,” he chuckled to himself and climbed up the last step.

“He didn’t come home.” He stutters his way through the sentence, like it’s the scariest thing he’s ever said. Like he’s forcing himself to say it but doesn’t understand why it’s so scary, just that it is. Josh frowns at the screen in response. Tentatively types, possibly abandoned.
Jesus. What the hell is wrong with people these days?
“Who didn’t come home, Theo? Your dad?”
Theo, 5. Child in distress. Possibly abandoned.
The radio crackles with acknowledgment as Theo exhales shakily. It’s wet, like he’s building up all the courage his little body has to offer. “My Buck.”

Summary
It wasn’t supposed to happen, they only got distracted for one moment, how could they have known that a disaster would strike at that moment?
They were only cooking a simple dinner together, although Minho was doing most of the work while Jisung just sat on the chair behind the counter and watched, they weren’t exactly planning to be roasted.
One moment they were laughing at an embarrassing moment that Hyunjin had with the staff earlier that day, and the next, the fire alarm was blaring, Minho’s arm was boiling alongside Jisung’s hands.
All they wanted to do is have a nice dinner date in their still new apartment, away from prying eyes or complaining members, it wasn’t meant to end like this.
